Accommodation for the Conference
Standard accommodation in the Wellness Hotel Rezidence or the Buqouy Chateau (venue) is included in the Conference Registration fee.
The Wellness hotel Rezidence will be one of the secondary conference locations. The organizers have booked this excellent hotel as conference acommodation as well.
The hotel is located in the old Buquoy Residence on the town square in Nove Hrady. Until 2009, the building had been empty for several years but now has been completely rebuild with help of EU funding into a modern four-star hotel with modern facilities. This includes an in-house wellness area with sauna, whirlpool, swimming pool, salt chamber, and steam room.
Several of the Conference lunches and diners will take place in this hotel as well.
To cope with the large demand for single rooms, we now included the accommodation at the venue in the former Buqouy Chateau as conference accommodation. The Chateau has been recently restored as well and the 17 rooms and suites in the side wing are of similar quality as the Wellness Hotel. Participants housed in the Chateay can use the wellness facilities at the hotel as well. The distance between venue and hotel is only a few hundred meters.
Other options for accommodations
Although not recommended, you can also book your own recommendation. Nove Hrady has several other accommodation providers, mostly pensions, inexpensive family hotel, and B&Bs. In general they are cheaper, but with a very limited number of rooms. These are often rented like apartments for up to 5 people, with shared facilities. With or without breakfast included. These providers typically cater to the Czech tourists, mostly families or small groups on cycling holidays. Language can be a problem: only some providers speak German, fewer English.
- When making your own booking, make sure to book well in advance; this region is a popular tourist and spa area.
- There are TWO towns called Nové Hrady in the Czech Republic. Ours is in the district Ceske Budejovice, South Bohemia, close to the Austrian border. The second Nové Hrady is in district Ústí nad Orlicí, Pardubice Region, about 120 km northeast from here!
